Principal Message

Dear Stocklmeir Families,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year!  We are excited for what will prove to be a very successful and memorable year at Stocklmeir Elementary. 

It is an honor and a delight to join the Stocklmeir community and serve as your new administrators. We are impressed with the programs and traditions at Stocklmeir and are grateful for the opportunity to work side by side with a very dedicated and talented staff. We also want to recognize and acknowledge the critical role of parents and community members in the school’s successes.  

As your new administration team, we’d like to share a little bit about ourselves:

Mrs. Nicole Paredes (Principal): I was born and raised in the Bay Area and started my career as a Spanish bilingual teacher. I come to you with over two decades of experience as a site administrator.  I have also served in district level roles including as the former ELD Coordinator in CUSD and Director of Curriculum & Instruction in another district.  My absolute favorite role is that of principal.  I am most fulfilled professionally when I’m part of a school community and working in service of students, staff, and families. I am excited to be Stocklmeir’s principal and look forward to supporting success for all.  I can’t wait for the year ahead!

Mrs. Anna Akimoto (Assistant Principal): I’ve been a proud part of the CUSD community for 23 years as a parent, a teacher at Sedgwick Elementary, and a summer school administrator. Throughout my career, I’ve served on the school-site PBIS team, the Instructional Leadership Team, the PTA Executive Board, and CUSD’s Portrait of a Learner Advisory Committee. My passion lies in supporting students’ social-emotional growth, guiding positive behavior management, and nurturing a lifelong love of learning. I am thrilled to join the Stocklmeir community and look forward to supporting all of our students, families, and staff!

We look forward to continuing to build on the foundation that is already set while also ensuring Stocklmeir’s mission to foster positive personal and intellectual growth in children, and to prepare them to become responsible, caring, and productive citizens in our diverse society. Students, teachers, support staff, administration, and families work together in a spirit of cooperation and effective collaboration to enhance the joy of learning!
